The Importance of Sound and Color in Mixing
For the longest time, sea change drum sound was kind of the benchmark. But then when me and Jake were mixing my last record, it was, you know, sound and color was the benchmark. We ended up just trying to copy it by just like hitting bass drums really quietly and sort of adding them in. And we were constantly like a being our mixes against yours. Right? Oh, thanks. Why doesn't it sound like Sean? Yeah Shit.
