Norepinephrine epinephrine, they stick around for such a short period of time. The cortisol arm is just ancient. When you get stressed in your secreting glucorticoids, it's basically the exact same class of molecules as if you were a fish or bird or a reptile. Nonetheless, it's very ancient wiring and that's part of what winds up getting us in trouble.
