Pregnancy and Early Childhood Stress

A pregnant person's stress during pregnancy can actually be beneficial for the developing baby. A certain amount of exposure to stress hormones seems to teach the growing baby to be more resilient. Stress is an adaptation that reflects what stress is for which is to allow us to adapt to reality as it is. If you are a baby growing in a body exposed to that level of insecurity or threat, I better get get ready for a world that is unpredictable and maybe unsafe.
