I recommend that people put some tracking in place for lead sources. If you're a service provider, using something like a CRM to track where your leads are coming from and to track specific referral sources. I think one mistake folks make is they don't break down word of mouth. A lot of times when I get on the phone with people, they're like, most of my business is coming from word of mouth but there's more flavors to that. And very often we neglect our marketing and taking advantage of those opportunities.
