If you want wide distribution, the most important thing you could do is have it in like a kendle forma. But if you want notoriety that comes with it, that kindle needs to be based on a printed book. If you're working for a publisher, there's going to be a word count. And i don't think you should have a word count in mind. You should let the book find its own place.
