It seems like such a critical up date. It's queer to me that it was not mandatory to begin with. The human pilot should be able to move the control column and deactivate auto pilot that way, instead of having to go through and push a bunch of buttons and change modes. And ultimately, do you trust the person or the computer? And when right, ye indeed. Ye just absolute, do it. I ya.
