The Morphology of Demonstrative Adjectives

In some languages, demonstrative adjectives only go with nouns that are definite. If you have classifiers in your language, there's a non-trivial chance that those classifiers will also be used with demonstratives. Demonstratives can carry gender agreement and by number, case agreement. They're more like particles but they might not participate in other kinds of marking. So we don't want to read up on them because it takes us into the sort of superset waters that we don't really want to deal with.
