How Do You Navigate Into the Heading Mode?

The aircraft will, ouknow, if if we're navigating to a just a g p s way point, it's going to give you reminders that it's you're approaching that way point. But barring any other features selected, than it's just going to basely keep proceeding on the heading and air speed that it's at. If those weren't selected, then the aircraft would just continue a off in space, so to speak. And so that's part of the importance of getting it into the heading mode, so that the corew can make turns with the aircraft, take guidance from air traffic control.
