A vegan diet, which I distinguished from a Whole Foods plant-based diet, can actually create an imbalance in your cholesterol. We have lost an understanding of what HDL cholesterol does and we used to say low is bad, high is great and protective. The other cholesterol particle everybody should hear about anytime I'm on a video is lipoprotein little A. It's a bad beast that doesn't respond to Lipitor or Crestor but it has its own protocols with the pharmaceutical industry.
