When soldiers are engaged in hand-to-hand combat, they acquire new information about combatives. These lessons must be captured and analyzed so the combatives program evolves to fit the needs of soldiers. Through combat feedback, the following lessons have been learned: Every fight is a grappling fight. Of course, this does not mean that there is no striking. Control of this element will most likely determine the outcome of a fight. There's no shortcut to developing a fighting skill.
