Is There a Benefit to Overreaching?

There is an argument of like you might actually be doing more damage than good in some cases. So that's a bit contentious at the moment. We don't really know. One of the reasons why I think like training to the point of functional overreaching is good is because a lot of people are actually just chronically under training. They're not training as much as they should be. That's probably the biggest benefit. It's shifting their training volume up into productive ranges. Whereas before they were kind of in like the maybe less productive, maybe like MEV side of things or maybe even that in that MEV to MV kind of thing.
