The Paradox of Anxiety

In order to attain a space or a psychological state of somewhat or at least less attachment to the negative emotion, your goal is to create a space where you feel there's a psychological distance between your sense of who you are and what's called anxiety. To do that, you actually assign very clear sensory quality. So when you assign sensory qualities to any emotional state, ironically, it's like you become a scientist looking through a microscope and bacteria. You automatically create distance by assigning sensory qualities to it. And then you'll attain that sort of emotional safe place where you feel I'm okay.
