The Glass of My Life
For me, it looked like not paying attention to anything below my chin. I knew that I had feelings, but they were either Happier, sad or maybe angry. Those are the only ones I was allowed to have. And just a little bit and I had to constantly pretend that things were not wrong. But all of that was like the sparkly white snow bits of the snow globe. But I was actually the glass. Like I was numb.
