Do You Have Too Much Intensity in Your Training?

In a two week taper, we're cut total training volume by about forty %. The big thing about the taper is that you don't drop intensity. We want to keep all our systems primed to perform well on race day. A huge part of racing is keeping our neuro muscular system tuned up. And we can't drop all our intensity during our taper, or else our neural muscular system will suffer.
