CHAPTER

The Importance of First Enoch

First Enoch is one of the most influential non-biblical texts in this period. It was a way to account for where evil came from we had the problem of evil of the odyssey how does we get evil from every creation that was all good and it's well these angels rebelled and they came down, physically reproduced evil and then spread knowledge of evil. I think there are five distinct books within the book of Enoch  and they are generally dated to different periods by scholars starting around 300 BCE up to close to the turn of the era.
