The Importance of Finishing a Word
Eight years is a long time to spend in the tremendous world inside Kafka's head. It turns out that translating Kafka's diaries is, at least for me, was very akin to the types of experiences he himself had. In a way his inability to finish had to do with the fact that there really is no moment when you can really finish this kind of a word.
