Dukkha - The Axe Hole of a Wheel
Dukkha means hard or difficult. It has a very interesting etymology which I think really conveys in some way our experience of Dukkha in our lives. So when we are clinging or attached to that which in its nature is changing, the axle is not fitting correctly into the center hole of the wheel and therefore we get a very bumpy ride in our lives because it's not fitting well,. We're not in harmony with the truth of how things are. And so I just find out a very clear image of a way of understanding what DukKha really means.
