How Do Games Allow Us to Play With Systems?
Games allow us to follow narratives and become entranced by stories. But they also do something else that you hinted at a moment ago. They offer us a chance to try things out and to take chan. So if you get killed in a game, you start over. If you lose a match, you know, you come back and play again to morrow. That makes us less willing to take the risks that are both important for learning.
