In 1970, at the age of twenty-two, he joined Michel and Albert Rouge, La Garroch. Within six months, he was promoted to Sue Chef. Kaufman had a dream of visiting Twickenham and watching a rugby match. He worked in Switzerland for a short time before returning to London.
