The Effects of Rest Intervals on Strength and Hypertrophy
The number of studies that have really compared a matched number of sets and a low rep range to a moderate or high rep range is two. There was actually, I think, one significant find that leaned in favor of the lower rep range group. We have a consistent set of data showing that at least with compound exercises when you start to restrict rest intervals it seems to hamper hypertrophy.
