The Negative Stigma of Broker of Record Letters

Broker of record letters used to be a dirty word in the industry. Now, it'd be hard pressed to find a benefits broker who isn't willing to have one signed over if they can get it. The only time I'm actually seeing broker of record letters being signed is when the incumbent agent and the agency are not doing a good job. "I believe that the insured is making a business decision that's going to be best for them"
