The first thing we might want to do, and you probably have been doing this to some extent, is simply being aware that we're thinking. When the mind is quite clear, we can be aware of a thought just as it's arising. As with so many other aspects of the practice, there are different levels of attending to thought. And each level has its own benefit, has its own use.
