Is There a Difference Between Social Play and PVP?

There's a really clear demonstration that social rules are culturally navigated. They are not necessarily inborn within the game object, right? Which kind of goes into the emotional thing, right? Like, where is it? Where do emotions emerge from? Right? Are they from specific mechanics? Or are they from a cluster of different sets of expectations and ideas and mediations? I mean, it gets cited across this book quite a bit but communities of play of the Celia Pierce book feels really resonant for this chapter specifically in it.
