Behavioral Activation Is a Very Strong Predictor of Positive Outcomes
Behavioral activation is a very active strictly behavioral approach to treating depression. It's typically used under like the framework of cognitive behavioral therapy or just doing sort of straight behavioral therapy. For someone with severe depression they might not be able to get out of bed, right? So literally a behavioral activation would look like okay at 10 a.m. I want you to stand up out of bed and go downstairs into your kitchen. And for someone who has more mild depression that's going to look different maybe that's about less social isolation as well.
