The up and down ladder is a type of speed workout Herrera used to do with his runners. It's designed to get an aerobic flush or clearance in the tissues that allows mitochondrial respiration, if you want to be a super science nerd about it. The igloi program was inspired by practitioners like Kunz who were known for using zada pecan as part of their training.
