How to Surrender When You're Facing the Loss of Happiness
The Buddha says that attachment is the root of all suffering because inherent within the clinging to something or someone who gives us joy is the fear of losing them. So we attach to things and people because we believe it will bring us happiness or relieve us of our own suffering. And we attach because we're so afraid. We think it's two sides of the same coin. But I'm going to cling and attach even more because unconsciously, I know that this won't last. It's because the theory that nothing lasts. Everything has an expiration date. Everything dies. Joy is not a permanent state. A relationship, by the way, even if it lasts is not a Permanent state because we change
