Salim Razai: We know that hemorrhage is the leading cause of mortality in trauma patients. The number one reason, or biggest reason, is because of trauma-induced coagulopathy. Four factor PCC contains factors two, seven, nine, 10 and proteins S and C. It could help improve thrombin generation, which would then ultimately reduce blood product consumption - but does it increase thromboembolic events?
