What Is So Great and Not So Great About GA For?
Google Analytics Universal is often seen as maybe even the unnecessary evil. It took me a while to understand it and then learn how to work with it, but I've since changed my mind. My favorite thing about GA for is that in general it drives us to focus on quality metrics. The whole logic is focused on actions of users instead of just page loads. There's also one dimension, one new dimension called engaged sessions. And it's really aimed at focusing on this exactly as high quality sessions. How many times did a user come to the page and do something that is sort of worthwhile to us? That's exactly the type of thing that we should be measuring.
