Nestle Water - What Did It Look Like From Beginning to End?
OneRock first learned about the opportunity in mid-2020 when Nestle announced that it was going to be under consideration for sale. At first, we were told no. You guys at OneRock, you're simply too small. This is a huge business, $4 billion of revenue. We think the price is going to be way out of your strike zone. So thanks, but no thanks. Ultimately, what happened is we submitted our bid with all of the co-investors lined up. Our understanding is that at least one of those bids was at a higher valuation and didn't go through.
