The Status of the Group Goes Up When the Group Achieves Something

i think thereis a misunderstanding here, which is that everybody wants status in every situation. And indoctrination has a lot to do with this. We have indoctrinated almost everybody, including ourselves, to resist taking the microphone. So when we think about building these communities, communities of peers, it is tempting to just keep handing the microphone to other people. It's not too late. What we need to do is shift it from a me problem to a wee problem. More than 300 volunteers from forty countries around the world have spent the last bunch of months putting together the carbon almanac.
