How to Get Your Athletes to Walk More
I definitely encourage movement I wouldn't say it's specifically walking sometimes I'll get people to go swimming or get on the elliptical at the gym if that'll work. Get people walking as fast as possible after races even really big ones so the next day depending on the athlete sometimes is rest but very often I'm telling to get out for a half hour walk and actually pushing off a total rest day for a few days. There's actually a book coming out that would be super topical to this called Good to Go by Christy A sorry I don't know how to pronounce her last name it's coming on February 5th.
