The Importance of Debriefing
When things don't go your way, it's natural to immediately go toward, well, what did I do wrong or what could I have done differently? It's actually quite a common occurrence for athletes when meets don't go the way that they want them to. They immediately think about problem solving in the future because the rest of the day could be completely out of control.
