Is There a Difference Between LDL and HDL?

Lipoprotein density refers to relationship between the fat content of the lipoprotein, the lipid content and the protein content. VLDL has a lot more fat, basically, and lower and protein. HDL doesn't really have much capacity to take on fat, take on triglycerides. LDL is by far and away the most important because it's the most abundant lipoprotein carrying cholesterol in circulation.
