The Influence of Positional Authority in an Organization
It's important to understand the organization chart in terms of authority structure. You may see somebody at, you know, an executive level, but they could be retiring. And frankly, their influence might not be that high in that case. The other thing I find is that you can see a lot of people with strong technical expertise. They're really SMEs, subject matter experts with regards to the particular particular decision someone's trying to make.
