The obesity is a common core mobility in patients with half-path. And amazingly, something that totally shocked me when I first read it is that adipocytes have been shown to produce and secrete aldosterone all their own. This is like totally independent of the adrenal glands. Now, this doesn't explain the elevated norepineinphrine levels we saw in some studies, but there are actually other mechanisms by which they increase ald testosterone. The aldosterone isn't simply a result of cardiac dysfunction, but it's actually a product of fat tissue itself.
