Learning With Flashcards
When learning Chinese, for instance, I peaked at around 18,000 studied flashcards. Flashcards are easiest to apply when you need to memorize a lot of information that has a Q-response pattern. They're great for facts, like 7 times 7 equals 49, but they're much harder to teach an algorithm such as 15001 plus 239 is equal to 1740. The reason is it is difficult to get the full range of possibilities in static flashcards.
