The Value of the Deadlift
The squat has been touted as the king of all exercises for a long time, but I would like to argue that the deadlift is. You get just as big of bang for your buck when it comes to CNS and overall total body. And then on top of that, one of the biggest things you're trying to combat is posture issues with people. It's why when you look at people that are 70, 80, 90 years old, they've got these walkers and they're rounded over. A lot of that is because that posterior chain is just destroyed. They're disconnected from it. The deadlift is the best exercise for the entire posterior chain.
