Mindfulness and Compassion Meditation Enhance Relational, Pro Social Attitude
i taught two meditation groups in a study. One was just mindfulness, very strictly out any kind of heart practices or pro social aspects. And then one was a compassion training group. The researchers had hypothesized that only the compassion intervention would lead to this increased pro social behavior. But there was no difference between the compassion group and the mindfulness group. Both were more likely than the control group to give up their seat for someone coming in.
