The Effects of Glycogen Renewal on Muscle Growth
Post-workout glycogen replenishment from a strength training workout is going to happen quickly. If you've got well trained individuals and in fact one of those studies they measured the rate of replenishment as well within six hours you're talking at least 90 percent replenishment if they push carbohydrates higher. So would it be fair to say then based on what you've described that we're expecting that post-workouts glycogen replenish relatively quickly? It's not a huge amount but when we do a workout and we use some glycogen it's not ahuge amount we replenish it relatively quickly.
