Assertiveness and Empowerment in the BDSM Community

2021’s XBIZ Sexpert of the year and kink superhero, Sunny Megatron, is on a mission to disrupt the BDSM world. It’s high time to shake up norms and bring the kink community next level with up-to-date standards around consent, ethics, and self-awareness while considering how inclusivity, misogyny, education, attitudes, racism and all the isms impact the whole kit and kaboodle. In this episode, we continue our kinky discussion from episode twenty-two as Sunny tells us more about why her book, “Customizable Kink: A Strategic Guide to Erotic Play” is so necessary. She explains how the patriarchal feedback loop has impacted both the kink community and the media’s portrayal of kink to the masses. All the while, she stresses that she is not dissing traditionalists, but simply stating, “Don’t force it on others.” When Sunny coined the key concept “kink is customizable”, she shed a light on just how much creativity and flexibility is possible with kink. The possibilities are limitless as long as you remember consent.
