Self compassion is the idea of including ourselves in the circle of compassion. The more we give ourselves compassion, the more resources we have actually to give to others. Every single parent has struggles and challenges with their children. And so making that refrane really allow me to avoid feeling self pity with the ottism diagnosis. It helped me feel more connected to other people, other parents. it really gave me the emotional resources to be there for myself.
