mindfulness based stress reduction was a manualized, eight week programme that has been around for 30 years. But we quickly discovered that nobody's doing forty five minutes of home practice. They just don't have the time. So i wanted to kind of parse the two and have a practice focused eight hour training and a what i call didactic or merely versation focused training. And then it was just a matter of figuring out,. what are the key practices within this that people should be doing - how much of the eight hours should be spent practising? We're not going to invent new things but tailor them for these unusual contacts where people aren't going to a clinic for chronic pain or experiencing depression
