Otto Wagner's Influence on Modern Architecture

Otto Wagner was a leading architect of the secession, the Austrian Art Nouveau. He is clearly an important forefather of austere white modernism but he sits uneasily in all three camps. His reception reminds me of like Marla, one of his contemporaries, who is the last, arguably kind of great classical composer and also one of the first modernists.
