In this chapter, they promote bonus episodes and memberships for their Criminal Plus subscription and introduce Marty's role as a board member of an organization running a crisis hotline for young, unhoused people. Marty's oral history recording from 2003 is included where she discusses her board member responsibilities and the training they received.

In the early 1970s, Marty Goddard was worried about the high rates of sexual assault in Chicago. She learned from police that evidence from sexual assault cases often wasn’t collected properly — or at all. “They said, ‘We don’t get evidence.’ And this really kicked everything off.”
