Are There Implications for Interpersonal Relationships?
We are social animals, and regulate each other's nervous systems. So we have more authorship of our own experience than we might realize. We affect each other in extremely profound ways. In very individualistic cult s like ours, it's very hard to reconcile this socially entwined nervous system with social rules and practices which are highly individualistic. Many ills of social life come from that disjunction that we should be talking about.
