The Limits and Opportunities of Ethical AI
The use of AI can have pointed downsides, particularly on vulnerable populations. Facial recognition software is notoriously bad at identifying black people. Collaborations between engineers and social workers will become increasingly important as AI becomes a bigger part of our lives. We'll need those collaborations to make more equitable and human-centered algorithms.
