The Conditioning of Being Different
I think that there's probably a high, you know, co-occurrence of neurodivergence in people with in between identities. I mean, we all want to feel a sense of like membership. And then when you're holding multiple of those identities of being like queer and mixed race and neurodivergent, it's hard to even separate out because there's so many different like overlapping experiences of alienation. We can start to rely on getting that that celebration and that level of interest from people. Our bodies, our nervous systems are so attuned to what did the person say? How did they look at me? Did they look at my hair?
