The two minute rule has become a salvation for many in getting control of their huge email volume. In an active email environment, it is likely that at least 30 % of your actionable emales will require less than two minutes to respond and despatch. Many people are amazed by how many two minute actions are possible on some of their most critical current projects. But if you don't do it when it shows up and you do still need to do it, you will have to take the time and energy to capture, clarify and track it to prevent its encroachment into your head.
