The Cost of Rep Range Shifts in Strength Training
When he was in strength blocks early in his career, I would shift my rep ranges down on everything. A set of like four to six on tricep pushdowns transferred better to bench press than a set of eight to 12. This is one of those things where I'm like, ah, this wasn't just dumb shit I did for myself. It's not that I don't do that at all now, but there are certainly exercise specific lower end rep ranges that I use.
