The implication is that jeans do make us who we are. We're not really talking about individuals, but parenting. And there's just so much i of course, agree with you m that we shouldn't force children to be something they aren't. But actually saying that there's a 70% chance your child isn't going to be as clever and then labelling them 'not so clever' is bad parenting.
